Have you ever dreamed of waking up with the sun, milking your own cow, and sitting down to a dinner made with your own butter and cheese? This is our most comprehensive training yet. Join me at Everything Homemade for an All-Day (10-Hour) Private Intensive that takes you through every single step of the family milk cow lifestyle.
From 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you won’t just be watching—you’ll be living the life of a dairy homesteader. We start in the barn and end in the kitchen, giving you the skills to be entirely self-sufficient with your dairy needs.
The Itinerary of Your Day:

The Dawn Milking (6:00 AM): We start in the quiet of the morning. You’ll learn cow handling, udder health, and the meditative art of hand-milking your first gallon of liquid gold.

Barn Management & Care: Learn about stall hygiene, morning feeding routines, and how to keep a dairy cow thriving through Northern winters.

From Pail to Pitcher: Head into the milk house to learn proper filtration, rapid cooling, and the essential "Clean-In-Place" (CIP) procedures for your equipment.

The Creamery Skills (The morning/afternoon): Once the milk is settled, the magic happens in the kitchen. We will spend the morning and afternoon turning our harvest into:

Homemade Butter: From cream separation to the final "wash."

Greek Yogurt: Mastering the cultures and temperatures.

Cheddar Cheese: Learn how to make a delicious block of cheese

The "Whole System" Consultation: Between batches, we’ll discuss sourcing your own cow, fencing, breeding for milk, and managing the "calf-at-side" system.

The Full Homestead Experience: Breakfast & Lunch Included
A long day of farm work requires good fuel! We believe the best way to learn about the homestead life is to eat from the homestead table.

The Post-Milking Breakfast: After we finish the 6:00 AM milking, we’ll head inside for a hearty farm breakfast. Enjoy fresh eggs from our hens, homemade sourdough with fresh butter, homemade toppings, seasonal fruit with yogurt and a cup of fresh milk!

The Garden-to-Table Lunch: Mid-day, we’ll take a break to enjoy a seasonal lunch featuring what’s currently growing on the farm. It’s a great time to sit down, ask questions, and talk about your specific homestead goals.
