🪱 Red Wiggler Care Guide: Keep Them Wiggling!
Whether you bought these for your tackle box or your pet’s snack drawer, keeping them fresh is easy. Follow these simple steps to ensure your worms stay lively and nutritious:
1. Temperature is Key 🌡️
The Sweet Spot: Keep your worms in a cool, dark place. They are happiest between 13°C and 25°C (55°F – 77°F).
Avoid the Fridge: Unlike nightcrawlers, Red Wigglers are composters and should not be kept in a cold refrigerator. A cool basement, cupboard, or garage is perfect.
2. Moisture Matters 💧
Your worms arrived in a premium peat moss mixture designed to hold moisture.
The bedding should feel like a wrung-out sponge. If it feels dry to the touch, add a few drops of dechlorinated water (or bottled water). Do not soak them, or they will drown!
3. Let Them Breathe 🌬️
If you move them to a different jar, ensure there are small air holes in the lid.
4. Feeding (If keeping longer than 2 weeks) 🍎
If you aren't using them right away, you can give them a tiny "snack" like a small piece of potato, apple peel, or a crushed eggshell.
Only add more food once the previous piece is gone to keep the bedding smelling fresh.
5. Keep it Dark 🌑
Red Wigglers are sensitive to light. Keep the lid closed and store them in a dark spot to keep them from trying to escape!

The Royal Shipping & Refund Policy
At Queen Worm Farm, we take great pride in our "Crowned Crawlers." We do our absolute best to ensure your worms depart our farm healthy, vibrant, and ready to reign over your compost bin. Because we are dealing with live royalty, please take note of our strict shipping and return protocols:
1. Royal Dispatch (Shipping Schedule)
To ensure the fastest possible journey and to avoid your worms sitting in a postal facility over the weekend, all live orders are shipped on Mondays only.
2. Subject Responsibility (Tracking & Receipt)
Once your package is in the hands of the carrier, the responsibility for a successful arrival shifts to you.
-
Tracking: You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped.
-
Immediate Pickup: You are responsible for monitoring the tracking and ensuring the package is collected immediately upon delivery. Extreme temperatures (heat or cold) in a mailbox or on a porch can be fatal to your worms.
3. Liability & Final Sales
-
Carrier Liability: While we package our worms with expert care, Queen Worm Farm is not liable for delays, damages, or losses once the package leaves our facility.
-
No Returns or Refunds: Due to the live nature of our products, we cannot accept returns.
-
All Sales are Final: Once an order is placed and processed, it is considered a final royal decree.
